Glycolic Acid Products
Below I'd like to outline for you a few of the best glycolic acid products in the market
right now, as well as talk about which one is going to be best for you!
Sifting through the seemingly endless glycolic acid products can really be a
drag.
Especially trying to figure out which of the products is going to be right for you...I
mean isn't the point of using glycolic acid to keep you from having to go to the doctor to figure out what to
get?
I mean, obviously you should talk to your doctor before undergoing any treatment! But, you
very rarely need a prescription for anything who's primary ingredient is glycolic acid.
And yet, there are so many options...Making an informed decision seems
impossible!
Now, I don't want to make any actual product recommendations, as I haven't tried them all,
and wouldn't feel comfortable recommending the same product to everyone, but I can tell you what you should look
for!
Glycolic Acid Products - Acid Peels
Acid peels are by far the most intensive of any acid treatment, and that goes for
Glycolic acid products too.
Glycolic acid peels are still the least intensive of most chemical peels, with the
possible exception of lactic peels, but none the less, they are still VERY intense, and if performed incorrectly
they can even be damaging.
Who is a glycolic facial peel going to be best for? Well, people who are specifically
going to exfoliate their face will have the best luck with a peel (obviously). In addition, if you have a little
bit more major treatment required, then the more intensive peel will be your best bet.
In addition, if you've tried the lotions and other things before, and they haven't worked
for you, it may be time to move on up to a more concentrated form of the acid.
Glycolic Acid Products - Lotions/Creams/Face Wash
Basically this is pretty self explanatory. Most Glycolic lotions are going to be very mild
in effect, and therefore very risk free. Just about anyone can use a lotion and still get some results.
If you've got only mild skin problems, minor blemishes and what have you, then a lotion
should be plenty enough to do the trick.
The face washes are going to be best suited for those with minor to medium minor
acne.
In addition, the lotion makes a great tool to help you work up to the intense chemical
peel, if that's something that you want to do.
Glycolic Acid Products - Shampoo
Just like it works on your face and other parts of your body, glycolic acid can have a
great effect on your scalp...Oftentimes making a very VERY effective dandruff controller.
This is probably the most common use of glycolic acid by the male population...Obviously,
if you've got a dry or flaky scalp, then you might consider the shampoo as a method of curing it.
Well, that's pretty much all the glycolic acid products out there, I mean obviously there
are some more obscure ones, but that just about covers it...I hope that I've helped clear some things up for
you!
